Public Forum Debate at NDF

The Best Public Forum Camp features the Best Public Forum Staff!

The National Debate Forum is pleased to announce that we will be running Public Forum Debate Session I in Fort Lauderdale at Nova Southeastern University June 27th-July 11th and Session II at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts from July 18th-August 1st. Public Forum will be under the direction of Jason Kline (NC)! Applications are available now and space is limited!

At National Debate Forum we take tremendous pride in our Public Forum Camp. Unlike other institutes that make Public Forum a second-tier portion of their program, Summit Debate has made PFD a priority! The key to our success has been the people we have hired to direct our camps. We believe that you cannot teach Public Forum unless you have teachers who are immersed in Public Forum! All three senior faculty members have extensive experience in Public Forum coaching, each having teams place in the top 12 at NFL Nationals and reaching out-rounds and even finals of major national tournaments. Our junior staff consists of students who all competed with extraordinary success in Public Forum, including NFL and major national tournament champions! You can learn more by clicking on the Faculty link.

What Do We Do?

- We are all about providing you with a variety of perspectives on how to compete in Public Forum. We recognize that there are many ways one can be successful. Our goal is to teach to meet your needs.
- We provide lectures on topics ranging from case writing to the psychology of judges. Our faculty goes out of its way to make you think harder about how to win!
- The students will write two Public Forum Debate resolutions (one for each week) and compete in a full tournament at the end of each week!
- Small lab groups are built around skill and experience level. No one is made to feel more or less important than anyone else. Every student who attends walks away a better debater.
