The faculty is the heart and soul of any debate institute experience. The NDF faculty is an outstanding group of coaches and former competitors who have strong track records in both competition and teaching. More importantly, our strong student/faculty ratio of 4:1 ensures that every NDF student will have close contact with many of our faculty members, and therefore can learn from the best.
The NDF staff features teachers and coaches from different parts of the country – giving students a diverse faculty to prepare them for competition in many regions. Not only that, but our staff has experience working on the National Forensic League’s Rules and Recommendations Committee, NFL LD Wording Committee and the TOC Advisory Committee for LD Debate. Beyond that our staff has experience developing curriculum not only institutes, but also for their schools and districts. We have a well-rounded staff that boasts not only competitive successes but also sound educational experiences and successes. This enables us to ensure your student does not leave merely with a focus on winning – but a focus on continuing to grow as a debater and person.
NDF is proud that so many of our faculty members are themselves former students of the program. This continuity with the success of NDF’s past programs allows us to build on our experience, and make each year’s NDF better than the last. Our mix of experienced coaches and former competitors keeps us both grounded in the fundamentals, and up to date with the latest trends in debate.
