Faculty Profiles: Vivian Ho
Vivian has debated for Marcus High School, in Flower Mound, Texas, for four years. Over this period, she qualified for the TFA State tournament in her sophomore, junior, and senior year, and won the Hockaday Invitational and the Plano Senior Classic. She also cleared at many tournaments on the local circuit, including the Hebron Winter Invitational and the Newman Smith Spontaneity Invitational.
As a sophomore, Vivian cleared to eliminations at the University of Texas Longhorn Classic. In her junior year, she advanced to double-octofinals at TFA State, quarterfinals at Colleyville Heritage, and a semifinals at the All-Star Women’s Round Robin, and also won her pod. As a senior, she has cleared at three of the four TOC tournaments she attended: double-octos at Grapevine, quarters at the UT Longhorn Classic, and octos at the Greenhill Fall Classic.
Outside of her tournament participation, Vivian is President of the Marcus Debate Team, and routinely volunteers on the local circuit as a judge.
