Loren Eastlund is in the 3rd year of his Political Science degree at the University of Minnesota. In the previous two years his students have seen success across the national and local Minnesota circuit. His students have combined to accumulate 10 bids to the Tournament of Champions, and he has coached a student to TOC elimination rounds both years. While competing himself, he coached numerous students to late outrounds at The Midwestern Novice Nationals. As a debater, Loren saw success on the national circuit, with outround appearances at tournaments including Greenhill, St. Marks, the Minneapple, Iowa Valley, The Blake tournament, culminating with the championship of the Southwest round robin. Loren has also qualified to the Minnesota state tournament in both Policy and Lincoln-Douglas debate, taking 6th place in LD.
